TV Cabinet

This custom cabinet is constructed of “wormy” soft, or red maple. The tree is infested with Ambrosia beetles that leave larvae behind that bore a shallow channel and deposit a fungus which causes streaks of discoloration. This client already had a cocktail table and two end tables of the same species from a commercial manufacturer which also included hand forged metal legs and other detailing. Those existing features gave me the foundation from which to begin the design process on this and its companion armoire, also seen in this portfolio.

• Hidden within this 64w x 41h x 20d cabinet is an automated TV lift by Nexus21 which lifts a LG 65 inch flatscreen SILENTLY!
• The front features inner storage the full width and height @ 7 inches deep with 6 adjustable shelves for glassware, napkins, table accessories, ect.
• It is finished with a custom stain mix and a water based lacquer.
• The metal base and door pulls were custom made from my design by Channing Lockaby of metalworksvail.com
