Podium

This piece was made for a dear friend of mine who, after a 20 year career as pastor of a local church, is now a full time chaplain at Vail Health hospital in Vail, CO.

The chapel there was in need of a podium for his weekly services so he asked if I would be willing to help him out with “something simple”.

• Top and base are black walnut with accents (inlayed star and paper stop) in white oak burl.
• Vertical support is African mahogany with an insert on both front and back of figured and quartered eucalyptus
• Finished with a “natural” oil stain and a non-toxic, water based lacquer
