This rustic walnut table measures 78w x 16d x 32h and was built for a specific space.

As with all my pieces, it begins with rough lumber and you are looking at the finished product. This allows me to mix and match the individual boards for the best overall look.  The top, for example, is all cut from the same individual board, the drawer fronts another, and the legs another, but then matched the best possible way to insure color and grain uniformity.  The surfaces are hand planed and then hand rubbed with various abrasives for relative smoothness and to make it user friendly with no “snags”. A hand planed surface also adds to its “rustic” elegance.  The 6 drawers slide effortlessly with wood-on-wood slides which seemed appropriate for the overall traditional look.  It is finished with oil based Varithane “American Walnut” stain, and top coated with multiple coats of Sherwin Williams “Gallery” lacquer
