The inspiration for this piece can be found in EXODUS 13:21-22. The turned and hand carved flame is lifted up on a pillar for all to see. The three arms surrounding the pillar and pointing to the flame represent we humans seeking out the guiding light. The body of the piece is American black walnut with accents in Gabon ebony, copper, and poplar (painted black).
