The inspirations for this piece are many; first appearing in GENESIS 2:9, a physical tree but a metaphor for wisdom and righteousness in PROVERBS, and a restored eternal symbol in REVELATION.
The main body of the piece is American white maple with accents in American black walnut and copper. The center medallion is carved bone and represents all things floral; it carries strong connotations of nature, blooming, beauty, and springtime.
